Internal & External Balustrades – Luxury Hotel, Cotswolds
Brief
Riteweld Engineering was commissioned to deliver both internal and external balustrade systems for a prestigious hotel renovation in the Cotswolds. The project required a seamless blend of modern structural design with the natural elegance expected in a luxury countryside setting. Internally, the client required a steel balustrade with timber detailing to match existing materials. Externally, the design called for a striking yet warm feature using glass, timber, and screening elements.
Solution
Working closely with the design team, Riteweld fabricated and installed a custom internal steel balustrade, topped with solid oak handrails for a clean, timeless finish. Externally, we engineered and installed a structural glass balustrade supported by a glulam timber frame. To enhance privacy and architectural character, vertical Canadian Red Cedar screens were added, creating contrast while retaining harmony with the building’s setting.
All steel elements were fabricated in-house at our Banbury workshop to ensure high precision and quick turnaround. The result is a bespoke feature that balances modern engineering with natural materials—ideal for high-end hospitality environments.
