Custom Steel Spiral Staircase – Oxfordshire
Brief
Riteweld Engineering was commissioned to design, fabricate, and install a custom galvanised steel spiral staircase for a site in Oxfordshire. The staircase was required to provide safe, external access between two levels within a curved stone shaft, combining durability with a compact, space-saving design.
Solution
Due to the confined circular space and irregular masonry walls, the staircase was fully custom-built to fit the site conditions. Following a detailed site survey, the structure was fabricated in-house at our Banbury workshop using CE-marked steel. It was then delivered and installed on-site, with perforated treads, a central support column, and full-height safety handrails ensuring compliance and long-term performance in outdoor conditions.
